Delaporte 48 Home Assistant — Privacy Policy
Updated September 14, 2026
This policy covers the private household application Delaporte 48 Home Assistant, operated by John Dunn. It covers the application’s Google Nest connection, rather than the separate photography website on this domain.
Information accessed and purpose
With the Google account holder’s permission, the application accesses authorized Nest device identifiers, names, room information, device status, supported camera events, and camera streams or event images. It uses Google Cloud Pub/Sub to receive device events. This information is used for household camera viewing, monitoring, and related Home Assistant automations.
Storage and protection
Google authorization tokens and integration configuration are stored by the household’s Home Assistant installation. Event history, cached media, logs, and backups may contain integration data according to the enabled Home Assistant features and retention settings. Google separately manages Nest recordings and Google Cloud data under the account’s settings and Google’s policies. Retention therefore varies by the relevant service and configuration.
Access to Home Assistant is restricted to authorized users. The public information pages on this website do not display camera feeds, recordings, or authorization credentials.
Sharing and use restrictions
Google user data is used only for household monitoring. It is not sold, used for advertising, or shared outside the household except with services needed to operate the integration, remote access, and backups, or when legally required. These services include Google and the configured Home Assistant Cloud services. Data is not used to train general-purpose artificial intelligence models.
The application’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Your choices and deletion
The Google account holder can revoke the application’s access through Google account permissions. The household administrator can also remove the Nest integration from Home Assistant. Revoking access stops future authorized access; it does not automatically erase existing history, exported media, backups, or recordings held by other services. Contact the administrator to request deletion of retained application data. Google-held recordings are managed separately in Google Home or Nest.
Contact and changes
For access, deletion, or privacy questions, email jfd@yetanotherviewfrom48.com. This policy will be updated when the application’s data practices change.
